How to get to Minsk? Do I need a visa? Do I need insurance?
No Visa required. Europeans can visit Belarus Visa free until December 2026 for 90 days.
Brazilians can visit without a Visa, for 90 days + days 90 extension.
Before coming to Belarus, or in the first day in the country, please book online the mandatory health insurance.

Currently, there are no direct flights from Europe to Belarus. The best route is to arrive in Vilnius (or Kaunas) in Lithuania and take a bus to Minsk (4.5h). The bus runs almost one every hour, day and night.
Crossing the border usually takes 40min. You show your passport to the authorities of each country, and tell the destination city (Minsk), the goal of the trip (tourism).
You will be required to take the bags out of the bus through the scanner and inform how much cash you are carrying (max US 10,000 allowed). The authorities speak english. If they ask if that you have drugs, cigarretes, alcohol and similar, just confirm no.
You will arrive in the central bus station, where there is in the upper floor also the shopping center Galileo with a nice food court, 5 min from the city center.

You can pay with a western card (Visa, Master)
You can book without deposit, and pay when you arrive. Just filter "No credit card needed"

We recommend hotel close to the city historical and tourist center, close or around the streets Internacyjanalnaja street, Niamiga Avenue, Niezaliezhnasci (Independence Avenue) and Karl Marx streets.


Money, SIM-CARD, Maps, Taxi and Transfer
It is advisable to bring cash (EUR, or USD), that can be exchanged in the hundreds of currency exchange (Обмен валюты) banks in the city.
Brazilian and non-europeans banks credit card also work normally, such Nubank.
Also, is possible to send money via KoronaPay and receive at any Technobank.
SIM CARD
You can get a SIM card when you arrive at the bus station at the kiosk. The operators are MTC and A1.

The most reliable map is Yandex.com.
Taxi and Metro and Transfers
We will provide transfer to and from Molodechno, as well as to the wedding venue.
In the city, we advise for taxi, but the metro is super easy, clean and organized. The taxi app is called Yandex taxi and you can pay cash, or preferably with a brazilian or non european card. Some euopeans cards can work too, but not guaranteed.
Where to eat
There are multiple restaurants, bars and attractions at walking distance in the city center, mainly close or around the streets Internacyjanalnaja street, Niamiga Avenue, Niezaliezhnasci (Independence Avenue) and Karl Marx streets.
Where to eat: Pellegrino, The Odi, Fabriq, Imena, Baklazhan, Beirut, Sfb Minsk, etc. For belarussian kitchen try Litviny or Mary minsk, or for a soviet experience, try Lido. For breakfast, the Paragraph. Cafe de Paris or Amo.
For bars, go for the Zybickaja Street, or Revaliucyjnaja Street. There you will find places such the Legendar Maslow6, Madmen and others. For live music, Piano Bar, Zavod and Osobnyak.
What to see
The Park Horkaha is gourgeous with its attractions. A few minutes from there you have the view from the river close to the Palace of Sports, the monument of victory (Monument of Peramogі) and from the Minsk Cathedral. The square of the republic have imponent buildings, and Niezaliezhnasci (Independence Avenue) have most of the soviet era architecture. The Church of St. Mary Magdalen is a good spiritual place with extreme beauty. The Great Theather of Belarus and or having a coffee in Rakawskaja Street or at Moulin are interesting to see the historic center.
If you like history, the Museum of the Great Patriotic War is one of the best of Europe about WW2 (Belarus was the country the suffer most with the war). Also, a fun fact, the tiny House Museum of the 1st Congress of the Rsdlp, it was where the party that led to the socialist revolution later in Russia.
If you have a bit more time, the Church of All Saints and the National Library are really worth visiting. The botanic garden is huge and very beautiful. The city also have views such from the enormous lake Minsk Sea from Beach number 1, and also from park Peramogi.
